history of the misfits ball
The Misfits Ball is the new incarnation of the infamous Galveston Witches' Ball. For the last decade, the Witches' Ball has been a must-attend Halloween party in Galveston, held in the stunningly beautiful art deco designed Galveston Scottish Rite Cathedral. The ball was an annual masquerade party which raised money for the Galveston Island Humane Society, while having a fabulous time! Complete with costume contests, dance floor, and lavish decor, it was truly fantastical event.

We are proud to be upholding this tradition in the same location with a Misfits twist; A portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Galveston Theater and Arts Partnership, Inc.
They are a 501(c)3 organization based out of the Scottish Rite Cathedral, which is dedicated to educating the general public through drama, art, music, modern presentations and lectures. GTAP utilizes the exhibition halls and historically recognized vaudeville theater to enrich and engage the community, while preserving public interest and appreciation for this island’s rich history.
